Clear Your Calendars for The Chainsmokers

The Grammy award-winning duo bring their World War Joy Asia Tour to Hong Kong this August

The year is 2016. Donald Trump is the newly elected President of the United States, Rogue One is dominating the box-office, and “Closer” is the unofficial anthem of summer. Released just a few years after the band’s inception, “Closer”- a collaboration with singer Halsey – put The Chainsmokers on the international map, topping charts in 13 different countries, including America and Britain.

They haven’t stopped rising since. The American DJ and production duo, Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart, have earned a Grammy, two American Music Awards, seven Billboard Music Awards and nine iHeartRadio Music Awards. And now is your chance to see them live in Hong Kong!

A little more than one year after their sold-out first live in Hong Kong, The Chainsmokers return to the city in their World War Joy Asia Tour at AsiaWorld-Expo Arena on 23 August, 2019. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will bring the band around the region, including Seoul, Taipei and Shanghai. They announced the hotly anticipated show right after dropping their first two singles from the new album, World War Joy. One of the tracks, “Who Do You Love” shot to No. 1 on iTunes and has been streamed over 14 million times around the world.

The EDM-pop broke onto the scene in 2014 with “#Selfie”, which quickly shot to the top of the charts around the globe. They dropped their first EP, Bouquet, a year later, and the world fell in love with “Don’t Let Me Down”, a collaboration with singer Daya. Since then, they’ve released another EP and two albums, all to critical acclaim.

So, grab your friends and get down to AsiaWorld-Expo this August, you don’t want to miss this one!
