When the temperature is soaring, there’s only one thing to do: sit back with a cocktail.
Summer is in full swing in Hong Kong. And in between work days, beach days and junk days, there’s always time for a tipple or two. This year, the city has graced us with a number of new and mouth-watering cocktails just for summer (including an actual cocktail fountain!). Read on to find out what – and where – you should be drinking all summer long.
VEA Lounge has just introduced new summer cocktails with the theme of “From Streets to Feast”. Executive Mixologist Antonio Lai and Assistant Bar Manager Derek Tsui found their inspiration in Hong Kong’s vibrant local food scene. They’ve turned the iconic flavours of the city into nine mouth-watering libations, like French Toast (inspired by the Hong Kong-style breakfast), made with peanut butter centrifuged bourbon, cream, whole egg, toast extract and a chorizo chip; and Pu-erh, made with Beefeater Gin, dried tangerine, thyme, re-distilled pu-erh tea and lemon. Enjoy them all summer long and make the most of the scorching heat.

Café Gray Bar
Café Gray Bar at The Upper House delivers this season, with a slew of summer cocktails that are perfect for beating the heat. Mixologist Jack Leung drew his inspiration from seasonal ingredients and dessert making techniques, to create the light refreshments. The colourful cocktails are made with house-infused spirits with pandan, coconut and yuzu. Sink into one of the lush banquettes as you sip, and watch the world go by from their incredible panoramic views.

If you thought you couldn’t love the Aperol Spritz anymore, then ICHU Peru has something just for you. You’d expect a restaurant like ICHU Peru to be stuffy. After all, it was established with the help of legendary chef Virgilio Martinez, the man behind the world’s 6th best restaurant (Central, in Lima, Peru). But it’s anything but. At ICHU Peru, it’s all about incredible service, delicious food and great ambiance, with a laid-back vibe. That’s why they decided to install a free-flow Aperol Spritz fountain on their beautiful terrace, just for summer. Designed exclusively for the jungle-inspired terrace, you won’t find anything like it in the city. Pair your free-flow spritz with a new terrace only menu!
