Whether it's people watching you desire, a breezy balcony or somewhere with a view, here are our top five picks for Lan Kwai Fong's best patios, and terraces and rooftop bars. Dazzling skyline usually included.

CÉ LA VI Hong Kong
ce la vi hong kongThis sophisticated and sleek venue combines a nightclub, restaurant and al fresco cocktail bar, offering a full-on night out for Hong Kong’s socialites and party set. It is as famous for its iconic red parasols, as is the Japanese-influenced cuisine and outstanding cocktails (courtesy of Swedish mixologist Knut Randhem). Quench your thirst with a cocktail (from HK$128) or your favourite spirit (from HK$118) and get one on the house. The 360-degree view from the 25th-floor rooftop bar knows no boundaries and offers spectacular views of Central and the surrounding area.
Happy Hour at CÉ LA VI is daily from 3pm until 9pm.

The Envoy
the envoy hong kongAlthough not the highest view in Lan Kwai Fong, The Envoy still offers a beautiful scenery you don’t want to miss. Located on the third floor of The Pottinger Hotel, the terrace is a great spot for afternoon drinks. If you’re mad about cocktails, this is the place to be — concocting some of the most artistic creations you’ve ever seen. Every day of the week has a different theme, serving signature cocktails, wine, summer spritzer and champagne (with 20% off) on rotation. When you’re in need of an escape of the hustle and bustle, The Envoy will be the perfect getaway.

FoFo by el Willy
fife by el qillyLocated in the heart of Lan Kwai Fong, but thankfully elevated above the hubbub, this Spanish tapas restaurant has a beautiful rooftop terrace, ideal for pre-dinner drinks (the outdoor terrace closes at 11pm). You have to carry the drinks outside yourself, as they don’t actually have bar service upstairs but you’ll be rewarded with plush resort style lounges and a lovely view.

Fringe Club
fringe club hong kongLocated just above the Lan Kwai Fong district at the intersection of Wyndham Street, Glenealy, and Lower Albert Road, the Fringe Club is a landmark institution in Hong Kong as it occupies one of the few remaining stone buildings left in the city. One of the secrets of the Fringe Club is that it has a large outdoor rooftop that makes for a great break from the noisy bars below. Although they’ve recently started their own urban farm on the rooftop, you can still enjoy the magnificent view from the terrace at Colette’s — with Happy Hour drinks (from HK$30) to match.
Happy Hour at Fringe Club is on Monday through Saturday  from 4:30pm until 8pm.
