The Hong Kong influencer shares her favorite spots and memories of Lan Kwai Fong
Georgia Parungao – better known as @Georgiaforya to her 30,000 Instagram followers – is one of Hong Kong’s loveliest ladies about town. She truly lives the life of luxury – whether she’s working for luxury publications or travel companies, like the ultra-luxe Heavens Portfolio.
Parungao has made Hong Kong her home (though that might change with a marriage in the future!). “My very first memory was at a dim sum restaurant my mother brought me to. It was my first-time using chopsticks (and sharing a table with strangers). I remember telling myself, “Gia, you have to get this perfect, otherwise you won’t have any food!” Safe to say, she’s mastered the art now! This foodie’s feed is full of meals that will make you drool, plus the most beautiful outfits, travel escapades and photos of her fiancé.

As a foodie, what are some of your favourite restaurants in LKF?
My current favourites are Carbone, Fumi and Silencio. I absolutely loved dining at Lily and Bloom when they were still open, each dish always hit the spot. Can I also say, the “secret” Nepalese place on the 9th floor? If you know, you know.
Do you prefer a big night out or a quiet night in?
I’ve always been a quiet night in type of girl, but there are some nights you just want to be with the crowd and listen to great music.
If you are going out, where can find you in Lan Kwai Fong, Hong Kong’s party district?
For early hours, I’m at Tazmania for their happy hour (all you can eat dim sum included!) and for late nights, you’d probably find me in Mudita or Franks! For really, really, really late nights, maybe even Volar.
Your fashion is always so on point – what’s your go-to dinner look?
I love a good statement coat. Hong Kong doesn’t have the best heating systems so it’s cold even when you enter a place!

What about a club look?
My fashion really varies. I’ve worn the pyjama look out a couple of times and have now earned the “pyjama girl” name. Most nights, I put on a pair of jeans and the first top I see in my closet.
Where do you like to get your pampering done?
Sense of Touch is great! I’ve gone for their regular facial.
What’s your drink of choice?
When I’m out, I really only go for a Negroni. John Nugent made the best one for me before, and now I head to Stockton, Franks and a couple of other speakeasies around the area.
What’s your absolute favourite thing in Lan Kwai Fong, it can be anything from a drink to a dessert!
Generic answer, but I love Ce La Vi’s terrace. I feel it really captures a lot of my Hong Kong memories! Also, the view of the road from Mudita, I don’t know a single person who hasn’t hung out outside, waiting for the next song to hit and calling their friends to make sure they’re coming.
