The Lan Kwai Fong Japan Carnival coming back this November, and to celebrate, Lan Kwai Fong is extending the two-day street fair into a month-long celebration of all things ‘Cool Japan’. In addition to the street carnival (mark your calendars for 10-11 November!), the Japanese extravaganza will continue throughout November with the LKF Cool Japan Pop-up at California Tower, featuring LKF Cool Japan – Japanese Dessert Remix.
Lots of stuff is going down in California Tower, like a pop-up exhibition of amazing Japanese toys and sculptures, and even a Monchhichi-pop up — you can read all about it here. But for those with a sweet tooth, you’re going to love the Exclusive LKF Cool Japan – Japanese Dessert Remix.
Six Lan Kwai Fong restaurants have teamed up with Kingsley Desserts and Gourmandises, a famous distributor of Japanese fruits to bring delicious desserts to Lan Kwai Fong through 16 November.

Of course, FUMI had to be involved in the Japanese Dessert Remix, it’s a perfect fit! This modern Japanese hotspot is known for its all-you-can-eat sushi brunches and creative omakase dinners, but now we’re making a reservation just to try their special Japanese dessert. They’ve created a sweet Milk Pudding with Berry Sauce, served with raspberry sauce, black berries, blueberries, mini kiwi and an edible flower.

Tokio Joe is a Lan Kwai Fong institution and it was the first of its kind in the area. Now we’re spoiled for choice when it comes to great Japanese food, but we still love the original. They make traditional Japanese dishes with a contemporary twist, using the freshest, finest ingredients. For the Lan Kwai Fong Japanese Dessert Remix, they’ve added Apple Delights to their menu, a combo-plate of apple pie and a sweet banana fritter. We can’t wait to try them.
Apple Delights are available for $95+10% through 16 November, as part of the LKF Cool Japan – Japanese Dessert Remix.

Cali-Mex is a lot of things: delicious, convenient, quick—but one thing this California-Mexico hybrid is not is Japanese. But that’s not stopping them from getting in on the spirit of the Lan Kwai Fong Japan Carnival. Save room after your burrito to try their Japanese Apple Pie served with rich vanilla ice cream.
The Japanese Apple Pie and vanilla ice cream is available for HK$68 + 10% through 16 November, as part of the LKF Cool Japan – Japanese Dessert Remix.

Another Mexican favourite, Los Sotano is also participating in the LKF Cool Japan – Japanese Dessert Remix with a delicious Japanese Apple Pie a la mode. This tequila-centric speakeasy might be the last place you expected to serve up an amazing Japanese dessert, but we embrace it! And who knows, maybe mezcal and pie will be the next ‘it’ food trend.
The Japanese Apple Pie and vanilla ice cream is available for HK$90 + 10% through 16 November, as part of the LKF Cool Japan – Japanese Dessert Remix.
