To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Handover, Lan Kwai Fong hosted a massive outdoor party with local stars Eric Suen Yiu Wai, Wilfred Lau Ho Lung, Sherman Chung and Stephanie Cheng.
Stephanie kicked off the evening with a performance of their classic dance “Honey”. Next up was Wilfred, who got the crowd moving with “Change Your Life” and “520”, before moving on to some 1990s classics. Eric’s bitter-sweet performance of “Love Story” brought memories rushing back to the crowd, but he left them all on a high note with his performance of the upbeat favourite “It’s My Day”. Sherman finished the singing with a vibrant adaption of “To Their Own Letter”.
Sharing the stage for the evening, the singers represented both the past and the future. They symbolised the hope that the music world will continue to develop and Hong Kong’s entertainment industry will flourish.
Once their performances were over, General Assembly presented even more entertainment, ranging from the Hong Kong police band flute team, to folk dancing performances and even a Moutai race.
Lan Kwai Fong celebrated the anniversary of the handover with style and flair – setting the tone for how they mean to continue for the next 20 years.
Don’t forget the delicious Moutai promotions being held at bars throughout the area, it’s a delicious way to try this classic Chinese drink.
