The week-long festival returns to Wan Chai with over 80 local bands!
Ready to rock? You better be, because the H2 Live Music Festival is back for its record-breaking 10th year (yes, it’s basically as old as Clockenflap) bringing a week of non-stop music to The Wanch. One of the biggest music events of the year, it brings over 80 local bands and acts together for total music mayhem.
The event is completely free and open to all music lovers. The most important thing is to support Hong Kong’s local acts and artists, so they can continue to play. The atmosphere here is always electric, just a good group of people coming to enjoy good music. Don’t believe us? Check out some of the incredible pictures from last year’s event by Hong Kong Rocks.

The event started way back in 2010, with just 17 bands. This year, for the Tenth Anniversary Festival they’re expecting over 300 musicians in 80 bands to be involved across seven days. It’s a huge undertaking and one that’s worthy of your support. If you love music, there’s something for everyone here from Japanese rock bands to reggae afro funk and even tribute bands.
“Creative minds abound in Hong Kong, yet the opportunities for them to express themselves are constantly under threat as performances spaces close,” The Wanch says in their official festival programme. “At The Wanch, our aim – with your support – is to continue to offer a place for musicians and music lovers to meet, perform, enjoy music and have fun together for many more decades to come.”
You can find a full line-up here and you can pick up a festival programme at The Wanch to plan out what bands you want to see.
The Wanch’s 10th Annual H2 Live Music Festival runs from 25 June – 1 July, 2019. For more information visit their website.
