Mark your calendars everyone: one of America’s rising stars is coming to town. DJ CID has just announced he’ll be spinning a one-night-only set at Dragon-i on 8 September, and we’re counting down the days. The Grammy award-winning DJ/producer is flying over from New York for a night of dance music like you won’t find anywhere else in the city.

CID started his career young, really young. He was only 11 when he started jumping on New York City buses to his favourite music shops. It wasn’t long before people started to notice his knack and New York’s top DJs became curious about this kid casually looking at the records they had been spinning the night before. By 12, he was DJing at his father’s restaurant in Queens. As he grew up, so did his talents – and CID branched into production and sound engineering.
He won his first Grammy in 2013 for his work on Cedric Gervais’ remix of “Summertime Sadness”. And he’s worked with top names in the business like Kaskade, Galantis, Conrad Sewell, Don Diablo, and more.

It’s going to be a night to remember – but you better start getting in shape for his infections tracks now, because you’ll be dancing all night long. Until then, check out some of Lan Kwai Fong’s own best DJs here or binge all of DJ CID's music on his Spotify channel here. Make sure you have listened to his latest single with Vinne as well!

Table bookings only and limited tickets at HK$300.
