Porterhouse
best christmas menus restaurants lan kwai fong hong kong holidays festive 2018

Celebrate the holidays in style at this sexy modern steakhouse. Executive Chef Angelo Vecchio and his team has prepared an opulent five-course Christmas feast this year. It starts with a creamy burrata, served with Oscietra caviar and melon; followed by your choice of either a hearty chestnut soup or a ‘Mayura’ Wagyu beef tartare. Next up is a pan-fried foie gras, and then your choice of mains, but we vote for this gorgeous Christmas turkey leg roulade. For dessert, an adorable vanilla mousse aptly named ‘Santa Claus’.

The Porterhouse Christmas Set Dinner is available 24-25 December, 2018, for HK$888 per person. Optional wine pairings are available for an additional HK$388 per person.

Kyoto Joe

Sushi and robatayaki may not be your traditional Christmas fare, but maybe they should be. Kyoto Joe, one of our favourite Japanese restaurants in Hong Kong, serves up the freshest sushi, sashimi, rolls and perfectly cooked dishes from the Robatayaki grill. This Christmas, they’ve created a mouth-watering feast of Japanese favourites. It starts with a light seafood Hiyayako— chopped toro, salmon roe and sea urchin on a bed of chilled tofu— and slowly gets more robust, with plates of sushi and even a robatayaki of teriyaki boneless beef ribs. The meal finishes with a cleansing yasai udon, and an indulgent crème brûlée.

The Kyoto Joe Christmas Menu is available for groups of two or more from 24 – 25 December, 2018 and is HK$490 per person.

Tokio Joe
Another tempting option this Christmas is Lan Kwai Fong’s original Japanese restaurant, Tokio Joe. Chef Wah brings a festive touch to this traditional venue with a Jolly Christmas Menu, an eight-course extravaganza that shouldn’t be missed. Whet the appetite with an appetizer trio of spicy salmon tempura, crab leg and abalone, before tucking into Hamachi, sashimi, sushi and more. Personally, we love the sound of the kelp-grilled sea bass, but the Wagyu tataki tartare is equally appealing.

The Tokio Joe Jolly Christmas Menu is available for group of two or more, only on 24 December, 2018. The menu is HK$750 per person.
