Fiata by Salvatore Fiata

Ranked the best pizza in Hong Kong and 5th overall in Asia-Pacific by 50 Top Pizza, Fiata has built a reputation by exclusively using Aqua Panna mineral water in its dough for a signature light, airy texture. A fan favourite is their Bronte 5.0, with fior di latte Napoli, mortadella Oro di Bologna IGP, Sorrento lemon zest, semi dried tomato, ricotta di bufala, pistachio, and lemon oil. Sonny’s

Singapore-based Sonny’s Pizza has opened its first international location in the heart of Soho, on Elgin Street. The store operates as a takeaway shop, and its New York-style pizza can be ordered as a full pie (with 12-inch or 16-inch pies available) or by the slice, starting from around $40 per slice. Grab a hot dog to whet your appetite and a soft serve ice cream for dessert. You’ll be right in the mood to gesture and shout “I’m walking here!” to traffic as you cross Hollywood Road.

Aria

With panoramic views of Hong Kong’s iconic skyline, this is not your run-of-the-mill pizza experience. For something different, indulge in a smoked salmon pizza with olive dust, dill, and fresh mayonnaise. Otherwise, the Romagnola will have you living the dolce vita, with mozzarella, pistachio pesto, mortadella, and burrata crafted into a work of art on a plate.

La Camionetta

These Roman-style pizzas stand out with their fresh ingredients and crispy bases. The location in Soho is extremely popular, and with only walk-ins accepted it is best to arrive a little before (or after) usual dining times. A relatively new feature on their menu is La Bomba, with a tomato base, fior di latte, Spanish chorizo, bell peppers, red onions, olives, chilli, and basil. Mille grazie to these legends!

With multiple locations throughout Hong Kong, Doug Bros has cemented itself as a staple in the local pizza scene, providing a great catering option for junk boats too. Their vegetarian Sophisticated is sure to tantalize even the most jaded of tastebuds. With dough milled by hand and fermented over two days to let it rise to a light and airy texture, pizzas are baked in Emmer’s iconic rotating steel oven. Ingredients are kept to minimum to focus on flavour – the Italian way. The Tako Pizza looks particularly interesting – a ‘Takoyaki’ inspired special with quintessential Japanese ingredients such as octopus, bonito flakes, wasabi Kewpie mayonnaise, sesame seeds, seaweed, and teriyaki sauce.
